A Love Affair with History
Each creation at Glories of the Past is more than furniture - it’s a revival of beauty, history, and craftsmanship.
Beginning with a deep respect for the story of each piece - a hint of Art Deco, a touch of French Empire, or a whisper of Jacobean craftsmanship - I enhance those origins rather than erase them, using deep pigments, gilding, and wax finishes to bring out their innate drama. The result is timeless furniture that feels as if it has always belonged in candlelight and castles - yet sits beautifully in modern spaces, too.
Each piece I choose retells its history - sometimes humble, sometimes grand. I don't erase time; I enhance it.

Historical Approach
My work is guided by the great European traditions - French Empire, late Georgian, early Victorian, and the quieter disciplines of continental craftsmanship.
I am drawn to pieces with architectural proportion, disciplined ornament, and a sense of ceremony. I do not chase trends, nor modernise for novelty’s sake; I work within the language each object was born into, allowing it to speak clearly again.
